Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon is located just outside of Page, Arizona. It's the most visited slot canyon in the southwest. If you go, you must be accompanied by a Navajo guide. There are many tour companies in Page to accomodate your needs. They all do a nice job of interpreting the features of the area.

Don't expect to have the place all to yourself. The canyon tours continually bring in groups of 10-20 guests. The canyon is narrow and setting up a tripod is difficult. Also the long exposures required make it hard to keep people from walking into your shot.

The best time of the day to get the famous light beams is mid-day. You can ask a tour guide when the best shooting times are and book your tour accordingly.
